Project Inquiry

Work With Me

I create custom mosaic panels designed to be permanent, site-specific works.
This inquiry form is for clients interested in commissioning original mosaic pieces for residential, commercial, or architectural spaces.

Design & Process

A non-refundable design and planning fee of $250-$500 applies to all custom commissions. This fee is credited toward the final project total if the commission proceeds.

Commission Pricing

  • Small mosaic panels (up to ~2 sq ft): starting at $1,200

  • Medium works (2-8 sq ft): $1,800-$4,500

  • Large or specialty panels: quoted individually

Pricing reflects the time-intensive nature of hand-cut stone mosaic work and is influenced by:

  • overall size and scale

  • stone selection and material complexity

  • design detail and patterning

  • substrate preparation for the intended application

Final pricing is confirmed after design review.

Installation & Framing

I do not offer on-site installation.

Finished mosaic panels are delivered ready for framing or integration by a third party.

Custom framing is available upon request and is coordinated through a local professional framer. Framing is quoted separately.

Timeline

Typical lead time is 6-10 weeks, depending on scope and scheduling.

Payment Terms

A 50% deposit is requested to begin work. The remaining balance is due prior to delivery.

F.A.Q.

Where are the stone and tile materials sourced from?

I work with natural stone and mosaic materials sourced from a range of regions around the world, including parts of Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North America. Specific materials are selected based on color, durability, and suitability for the intended application.

Material sourcing may vary from project to project depending on availability and design requirements.

Materials & Surface Variation

Mosaics are created using natural stone and handmade materials, which inherently vary in thickness, density, and veining. Minor surface variation, texture, and natural fracture lines are characteristic of the medium and are considered part of the finished work.

Care is taken to ensure overall durability and visual cohesion.

Surface Refinement Option (Optional)

For clients who prefer an exceptionally uniform surface, additional refinement can be requested. This may include selective re-cutting, replacement of fractured stone pieces, or additional leveling work beyond standard fabrication.

  • Surface refinement is quoted separately based on scope and material availability

  • Additional material sourcing may be required

  • Refinement may extend the project timeline

This option is discussed during the design phase and is not included by default.

Do you install mosaics on-site?

I do not offer on-site installation.

However, mosaics can be fabricated on appropriate waterproof backer boards when required by the project’s intended use. Substrate selection is determined during the design phase based on application, scale, and environment.

Finished pieces are delivered ready for framing or installation by a third party.

What substrates do you work with?

Mosaics are fabricated on cement backer boards appropriate for either interior or exterior architectural applications. Framed works are coordinated with a professional framer as needed.

Substrate choice is part of the design process and is selected to ensure long-term durability.

Does substrate preparation count as installation?

No. Substrate preparation is part of in-studio fabrication.
On-site installation and setting of mosaics is handled by the client or their contractor.

Can you advise my installer or framer?

Yes. Installation guidance can be provided as documentation or consultation if needed.

Can you help with framing?

Yes. Custom framing can be coordinated through a local professional framer and quoted separately.

What if I’m not sure what size or format I need?

I’m happy to discuss options during the design phase.

Are commissions open year-round?

Availability is limited. Projects are scheduled on a first-come basis.
